Meeting rooms are the only thing at Loft Nine you pay for on top of your plan, so it is worth knowing what you will really spend.
The rooms
The Press takes ten, £34 an hour, £24 for members. The Loading Bay takes six, £26 and £18. The Nine takes four, £22 and £16.
What the log says
Across a full year, the median member booked 1.6 hours a month. That is one meeting, or two short ones. The mean is 4.1, dragged up by a handful of heavy users.
Split it by plan and it gets clearer. Hot deskers averaged 0.9 hours a month. Dedicated desk members averaged 2.3, which is why their plan includes two free. Office teams averaged 7.8, and their plans include eight.
We set those inclusions after looking at this, not before. The point was to make the common case cost nothing.
Who goes over
Three kinds of member, reliably. Recruiters, who interview in blocks. Agencies in a pitch month, who book The Press for a day and a half. And anyone running a course.

A thing we changed
We used to allow bookings twelve weeks out. Two members were holding recurring slots they cancelled half the time, and the rooms looked full when they were not. We cut the window to four weeks and free cancellation to the day before. Utilisation went up nine points and the complaints stopped.
Booking one without being a member
You can. Non-member rates apply and you can book up to a week ahead, subject to the room being free. A fair number of people meet here because it is near the station and cheaper than a hotel meeting room; some of them end up members, most do not, and both are fine.
